Feeling bored and thought it'd be fun to do a fan version of the 1984 classic gauntlet, but instead of doing giant maps that never end my programmer and I just wanted to do something on a smaller scale. So we'd just do like 12 little maps, 1 player character(Valkyrie) and it'd just be something simple to play. You rush through maps, kill ghosts, grunts, and demons and then fight a sub boss and a boss.

I recreated the graphics at 24x24 pixels for the player character, 1 enemy, and the floor and wall tiles so far. Used the color palette of the original arcade so I could capture a little more of that retro look.

We're calling the game "lil gauntlet' and it's just gonna be a small project designed to tap into some nostalgia. Its essentially meant to be a bathroom game, something you can beat in 10 minutes or less, so its essentially not gonna be much more than a demo with all the features, but I wanted to get a game made before the year ends if possible and been looking back at 1980s nostalgia, and this was a fun game to play.

I'm hoping some kind of demo wont be too far away. I've already finished more than enough sprites to create something simple, but close enough to the original game.
